Nail Technician Job Description

Job Title: Nail Technician / Beauty Technician

Reports To: Salon Manager

Job Summary:

The Nail Technician will provide professional nail care services including manicures, pedicures, gel polish, acrylic extensions, nail art, and other treatments. The role requires strong technical skills, creativity, excellent hygiene practices, and outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform professional manicures and pedicures

Apply gel polish, BIAB, acrylics, and nail extensions

Create detailed and creative nail art designs

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sterilization

Ensure tools and workstations are sanitized after each client

Provide excellent customer service and build client relationships

Recommend nail care products and aftercare advice

Manage appointment bookings (if required)

Keep up to date with latest nail trends and techniques

Requirements:

Qualified Nail Technician certification

Minimum [1–2 +] years’ experience preferred

Strong portfolio of previous work

Knowledge of nail health and hygiene regulations

Friendly, professional, and well-presented

Reliable and punctual

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable Skills:

Nail art expertise

Experience with BIAB and advanced nail techniques

Social media savvy and ability to promote your work on our social platforms.

Retail sales experience

Working Conditions:

Fast-paced salon environment

Must have a can do attitude

Ability to work on own initiative

What we offer:

A competitive pay of £35,000 - £40,000 p.a. dependant on experience.
